The new release contains a number of important technical points. We list them below for you:
If you are using Elastic search, you must update Elastic to version 7.16.1. Note: if you do not update to this version, JOIN Search will no longer work after the update to version 2021.12.

The underlying .NET framework has been updated to version 4.8. This can cause problems if you are using an outdated OS. (particularly Microsoft Windows 7).
The JOIN Client has been updated to version 4.8 of .NET. This can cause problems when you use an outdated OS (including Windows 8). When you install the new client, you should test it properly on your clients.
From version 2021.12, Oracle 19 (database) is fully supported in combination with JOIN Case & Document. We advise you to test this extensively after the update and to carry out the installation under the supervision of a Decos technical specialist.
Due to security recommendations the RSS function in JOIN Case & Document has been changed since version 2021.12. To prevent unauthorized external sharing of data (for example in an external portal), it is no longer possible to read RSS data without a user login (of a JOIN user). In addition, the behavior of the RSS function has changed internally:

Attention: If you have installed several JOIN Business & Document websites on your JOIN Server, it is possible that the JOIN Websites will not start correctly after the installation of version 2021.3.630. This can be solved as follows:
1 Search for “Swashbuckle.Core.dll” on the aspx sites disk if there is more than one JZD site
2 Switch the display of the search results to “Details”, add the column “Product version”.
3 Replace the file “Swashbuckle.Core.dll” version 5.2.1 with the correct version 5.6.0. At least 1 file contains this version.

from version 2021.12, JOIN Case & Document has extensive options for setting up validations for item profiles. Think of case types, document profiles, meetings, etc. You must have a valid license for the module “smart forms / validations”. we are introducing in the bulk scan interface a function to fetch new scans. Normally, a user has to wait for the system to check for new scans. If this takes too long for the user, this can be checked immediately via the new button “Get new scans”.
From version 2021.12 it is possible to set for each collection how mails sent from JOIN Case & Document should be stored as archive-worthy mails. This function was already present in the case system and now collaboration with one of our customers has been extended to all parts of the application.

Wallboard 2.0 - configuring web parts
Several improvements have been made to the wallboard. It is now possible to configure web parts yourself, such as the refresh time and the size of a web part. In addition, multiple wallboards can be created that can be selected when a wallboard is viewed. read more
Improvements in Request Information and Tickets
Responding to and handling information requests has been adjusted.
For example, the dashboard shows when a colleague has responded to an information request and an information request can easily be added to a Ticket. read more
