On this page you will find all the promotions that are included in version 2020.12. This is a so-called minor release that also includes new functionalities for the various modules (Business & Document, Integrations and JOIN Customer Contact) and released on 11-11-2020. These are also listed below. (on this page you will find all actions related to version 2020.12 for JOIN Case & Document, Integrations and Customer Contact. This version has been released on 11-11-2020. You don’t need to install older versions, this major includes all actions from previous versions)
Important: Since version 2020.12, the following services have been included in the JOIN Background Service and thus become inactive:
- Decos JOIN Email Service (for sending and receiving mail)
- Decos JOIN ZTC Sync Service (for synchronization with JOIN Case Types)
- Decos JOIN PDF Conversion Service (for converting files to PDF)
You can remove these services after 2020.12 installation or set them to disabled. Since the software no longer takes the service into account, there will be no problem if you do not do this.
Do not use any of the above-mentioned services on your test environment (for example, if you do not want e-mails to be sent from the test environment (for example, to prevent data leaks), then in the JOIN Config Editor, you need to change one or more of the following settings in the background tasks server component:
Background Service Email Service Tasks --> do not run set this when you don’t want emails to be sent or received from the environment
Background Service PDF Conversion Tasks --> do not run *set this when you do not want files to be converted to PDF on the environment
Background Service ZTC Sync Service Tasks do not run set this when you do not want case type data to be synchronized with the environment
